It was perfect weather on October 12th for The Filthy Fun Run Philadelphia at Camp Kweebec in Schwenksville, PA. This year participants navigated their way through a surprise course which included mud pits, crawling through muck under barbed wire and getting a running start down a mud slide.

Ride Ataxia Philadelphia 2013 Benefiting FARA
Ride Ataxia benefits FARA- a nonprofit organization dedicated to research leading to a cure for Friedreich’s ataxia (FA). FA is a debilitating, life shortening, degenerative neuro-muscular disorder. This year over $200,00 was raised in Philly which will go towards FARA’s endeavor for a cure.

The Totally Awesome 80′s Run and after party was hosted by The Irish Mile Restaurant and Pub in Haddon Township New Jersey on October 6th.

Philly Zombie Prom 2013 at Trocadero
Hordes of the living dead welcomed the Halloween season to Philadelphia prom style at the Trocadero Theatre on September 28th in China Town.

Monster Mania Con 25
Monster-Mania Con is a semi-annual Philadelphia horror film and memorabilia convention held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill NJ. Monster-Mania 25 was held August 16-18th and featured celebrities appearances from Christopher Lloyd, Carrie, Danny Glover and many more. Guests enjoyed autograph signings, photo ops and endless rows of merchandise from their favorite horror movies and television.
Bug Fest at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University 2013
Entomology (the study of bugs) is the theme of this annual festival at the Academy of Natural Sciences. There seemed to be a lot of insect eating this year with the presence of cajun chef Zack Lemann who cooked up and served recipes which featured bugs as the main ingredients. Below are a few photos which include kids eating cicads, worms and dragon flies.

5th Annual 2nd Street Festival
The Fifth Annual 2nd Street Festival was held Sunday, August 4th, 2013 in Northern Liberties. By 3pm the streets were jam-packed from Spring Garden Street all the way to the Piazza at Schmidt’s. Guests enjoyed a full day of workshops, art, food, beer, musical performances and various merchandise vendors. This year’s festival featured four event stages brought to you by the Philadelphia Folksong Society.
Merrell Down & Dirty Mud Run 2013
I thoroughly enjoy shooting these mud runs. The expressions on the runner’s faces as they jump into pools of mud are priceless.
Color Me Rad 5k Philadelphia 2013
If you were looking for an unconventional way to spend Father’s day Color Me Rad was just that. Thousands gathered at the Please Touch Museum for this annual fun and colorful run. Color me Rad 5k currently hosts color runs in 95 different locations across North America.
